With "All Choked Up" (Notown Records - 1984) The Butchers got national exposure on the new college radio circuit and reviews in  numerous indie music mags such as Maximum  Rock and Roll and Slash Magazine.  The Butchers played the legendary LA underground clubs and sponsored some of the coolest events ever staged in LA with blessings from  Jello Biafra and Bleeker Bob.

What a scene.  Seemed like something historic was happening.  There hadn't been an energy like this since the Great Sixties Cultural Revolution.
